pach|y|derm «PAK uh durm», noun.
1. any one of certain thick-skinned mammals with hoofs. The elephant, hippopotamus, and rhinoceros are pachyderms.
2. Figurative. a person who is not sensitive to criticism or ridicule; thick-skinned person.
